How Westies Club Began
My journey with Westies started over ten years ago when I fell in love with the breed's spirited personality, loyalty, and unmistakable charm. What began as a personal passion quickly grew into a mission: to raise Westies that are not only beautiful, but truly healthy and well-adjusted companions.
Based in the heart of Costa Rica, Westies Club was founded on the belief that every puppy deserves the best possible start in life — and every family deserves a dog they can trust. We keep our breeding program small and intentional, so each litter receives the individual attention it needs.
Today, we are proud to be one of Costa Rica's most respected Westie breeders, known for our champion bloodlines, rigorous health standards, and the lifelong relationships we build with every family we work with.

Every breeding decision starts with health. We test our parent dogs for genetic conditions, work closely with our veterinarian, and never compromise on the wellbeing of our dogs.

We raise a limited number of litters each year so we can give every puppy the individual attention, socialization, and love they need to thrive.
Lifelong Partnership
Our relationship with families doesn't end when the puppy goes home. We're here for questions, advice, and support throughout your Westie's entire life.

Our Health Testing Practices
We take health testing seriously — not as a checkbox, but as a core commitment to the breed and to the families who trust us.
Patella Luxation Screening
All breeding dogs are evaluated for patellar luxation, a common orthopedic condition in small breeds.
Eye Certification
Annual CAER eye exams are performed to screen for hereditary eye conditions.
Skin & Allergy Assessment
Westies are prone to skin sensitivities. We screen our breeding dogs and select for lines with healthy skin histories.
Full Veterinary Certification
Every puppy receives a full health exam, age-appropriate vaccinations, and a signed health certificate before going home.
